Extreme Toking: Volcano Vapor Bag Suspension

For this year’s April 20th (4/20) celebration, I did what I call a “vapor suspension”. It required a mechanical suspension rig, two Volcano vaporizers, two 55-gallon barrel liners and some tape (to create a huge vapor bag), as well as approximately a quarter ounce of top-quality Sensi Star buds. Oh, and my back had four hooks pierced into it to hang from. (This is definitely “extreme toking”! – Editor)

Glass Masters: Bearclaw

The first Bearclaw piece I saw was “The Weary Traveler”, one of many glass pipes in a February 2006 Seattle show and competition (“Glass Master-pieces” CC #61). Bearclaw started working with glass in late 1998 and is based out of Chicago. He had no formal instruction but he was very pas-sionate, so he learned the hard way – through trial and error. “I feel joy watching the barriers of this medium fall before me. Each day is a lesson. I’m always a student, always learning.”

An old man stood in the nighttime shadows on the end of Mainstream Drive. He was tall and thin, with long silver hair and an even longer beard, which was tucked under a belt whose buckle was a large, silver, seven-pointed leaf.

Thompson’s widow Anita Thompson hosted a party at Owl Farm, her late husband’s beloved property near Woody Creek, Colorado. The guests were lawyers and activists, all attending the annual NORML conference being held in Aspen. I was able to wander the ranch at my leisure, and fantasized about what Hunter would think as he wandered around his property. The main house was filled with his spirit, and I’m sure he was enjoying the party.

Never Get Busted: Understanding Police Drug Dogs

Authoritarian and tyrannical governments have used highly trained search dogs since the Nazi regime. This article is the first in depth report made available to the public to help lift this heavily guarded shroud, and in it you will learn:
• Why dogs are the preferred law enforcement animals for detecting odors

A caregiver has the right to transport marijuana and a grower has a location to grow the plants. The Department of Human Resources/Oregon Medical Marijuana Program (DHS/OMMP) regulates everything, and the police, as of January 2006, were given the right to call in and find out if an address in question is, in fact, a registered grow site.

The Naked Queen

These photos were taken by Peter Schramm in September 2006 during shooting forDaryl Verville’s film “The Naked Queen”. The movie was shot in Nelson, BC with beautiful backdrops of the Kootenay Mountains, and illuminates the relationship of cannabis to the mythological past and the collective unconscious. The main character contemplates his dreams and conversations with Mahatma Gandhi, Carl Jung, and Beethoven, all of whom struggled against some sort of tyranny to inspire people with hope and spiritual strength.

The Truth About Feminized Seeds

The idea of “feminized” seeds is heralded as a new wave of breeding enabling you to grow only females, but in reality it is a less reliable and less effective method than simply cloning your favorite plant.
