No Extradition for the BC3

Following the US extradition requests for Canadians Marc Emery, Greg Williams and Michelle Rainey (the “BC3”) on July 29, 2005, hundreds of people have purchased ‘No Extradition’ t-shirts.

Marc, Greg and Michelle are accused by the United States of “conspiracy to distribute marijuana, conspiracy to distribute marijuana seeds, and conspiracy to engage in money laundering”. All three face extradition to the US and up to life in prison and are currently fighting extradition. A hearing is scheduled for January 21, 2008.

Amsterdam Coffee Shop Tour

My husband and I are both 45 and trained for the past year to participate in the 42.2 kilometer ING Bank Amsterdam marathon that took place on October 21, 2007. (We both finished it under the six-hour time limit.) It was our second trip to the famed cannabis soaked seaport, and we were delighted by the leisurely canal ride among the waterways ringing the city that define its architectural periods. Scott was most excited about the hundreds of marijuana and hashish dispensing “coffeeshops”, and it was fun to browse “smartshops” selling psilocybin mushrooms and peyote buttons.

Glass Masters: Patrick Stratas

Patrick Stratas has been blowing unique and unusual glass pipes for four years, off-and-on. He currently lives and works out on the fabled Sunshine Coast of British Columbia, and uses a Nortel REDMAX torch. Stratas cites influences like Banjo and Clinton as having an impact on his current work. “I just finished a two-day course with Banjo; it greatly improved my ability to create larger pieces, and improved the sculptural aspects of my more complicated works.” His deep-sea-creature-like glass pipe creation, shown here, was available at CCHQ in Vancouver and is called “The Mollusk”.

To Give Consent or Not To Give Consent

I am a patriot and proud of what America is supposed to be, but horribly saddened and disappointed by what my country has become. My father fought in the Vietnam War, my brother just finished his third tour of duty in Iraq, and I was once a proud law enforcement officer – I fought our nation’s War on Drugs from 1990 to 1998. Since then, I have realized the error of my ways and no longer do police work.

Weed, Wrestling, and Athletic Enhancement

I believe cannabis improves performance in athletic and contact sports (such as wrestling, power-lifting, football), co-ordination sports (snowboarding, surfing, basketball), and finesse sports (golf, bowling) by providing a relaxed state of mind and agile body. I’ve wrestled professionally for about 18 years, won more championships than any WWE wrestler in history, traveled the world more times than I can recall – and cannabis has been a big part of it all.
