My Jack Flash plants were doing very well under a 24 hour lighting regime. Then someone told me that 24 hours was too much, and that I should use an 18 on, 6 off regimen, which I did. A week after, most of the plants were showing sex and had slowed their growth. I don't want to sex them now. I want them to stay on the vegetative stage, so they can grow more.

Berlin Medical Assoc backs pot

Dr Guenther Jonitz, President of Berlin's State Medical Association, said in February that he supported state-controlled sale of legal pot.
In an interview with Germany's Aerzte Zeitung (Medical Journal) Jonitz said that cannabis was less dangerous than alcohol.

Blunt Brothers raided

On Thursday, January 18, Vancouver's Blunt Brothers and the affiliated Urban Organix seed outlet were raided by Vancouver police. Officers entered the store around 12:15pm, made one arrest, occupied the store and packed up boxes of bongs and pipes. By 2:20 police had vacated the premises.

A study published in the European Journal of Neuroscience found that a synthetic cannabinoid reduced intraocular pressure in eight glaucoma patients for whom mainstream treatments failed.

The chlorine added to the water supply does not seem to have any effect on plants. It has been added to water supplies for more than seventy years, and houseplants and gardens are still thriving.

A 36-nation anti-drug operation coordinated by the DEA in late 2000 claimed far more success than it actually had, according to a report published in the Miami Herald.

Police Officer John Beauford, of Balcones Heights, Texas, was charged on March 7 with possession of cocaine, crack and stolen firearms. Beauford is a a former drug task force supervisor, and was charged by a federal grand jury.
The most severe charge, possession with the intent to distribute more than 5 grams of crack, carries a minimum penalty of five years.

In the autumn of 1997, North Carolina resident Jean Marlowe traveled to Switzerland. Marlowe, who suffers from a rare liver disease, spinal problems, and severe arthritis, wasn't much interested in alpine scenery or Swiss chocolates. Instead, Marlowe sought an international prescription for medical marijuana.

The Mercados are members of the Native American Church (NAC), a centuries-old organization dedicated to the traditions and sacraments of the peyote religion. Moses Mercado is the Mercado's ten-year-old son; he sings ancient peyote songs and plays folk instruments during peyote ceremonies.
