I always thought that resin production was induced to protect the seeds from UV light from the sun.
The production/fertilization of a crop at the right time should increase the production of resin, and thus make more thc.
Just an observation, but one that has been mistakenly overlooked, and misrepresented by the idea of seedless makes better pot.

Seeds are a good thing!
