Uses for seeded crop

Can a seedy crop be smoked?

Once a crop has gone to seed is it any good or should it just be trashed?
Dougie Fresh,
Internet

Once the seeds are removed, the marijuana that's left can be used as smoking or vaporizing material or can be screened for kief or used for making water hash. Most Mexican marijuana imported into the US is seeded. The herb must be "cleaned," that is, have the seeds removed before it is used.

The covering around the maturing seed probably has the highest density of trichomes of any part of the marijuana plant. Unfortunately, many of these glands are lost during processing, when the seeds and stems are removed from the buds.
