Favorite Bud: Sour Diesel

Recent years have seen a lot of hype about Sour Diesel, but the pure strain is so fantastic that I decided to feature it this issue. Sour Diesel appears on a very short list of strains that are not only super heady, but also heavy yielding.
(Most of the super-heady strains out there are low-yielders, partly justifying their outrageous prices.) In fact, Sour Diesel grown outdoors with ample sun, water, and fertilizers can top five pounds per plant. Grown indoors she is no slouch either, yielding up to half a pound per plant if grown large.

Properly grown Sour Diesel has such a strong aroma and flavor that it absolutely requires jar containing if you don’t want to reek up your whole neighborhood! The aroma is a heavy, skunky, “road-kill” sour scent with a sublime lemony musk overtone, and the intense flavor transitions to a perfect aftertaste that’s Skunk to the max. It leaves you with wicked cottonmouth!
As for the high, well, let me assure you: Sour Diesel is strong shit, hits you in the head quite hard, and can make your eyes very red! Sour Diesel was created (accidentally) when a Massachusetts Super Skunk pollinated a pure Diesel mother plant. The results, as they say, are history. Everyone seems to be growing Sour Diesel these days and the market can’t get enough of it; but watch out for cheap impostors and re-crosses! Flowering time is approximately eight weeks indoors, while outdoor plants will finish in early October!

back in april of 2005 i was in amsterdam for a week just coffeeshop crawling and went to amnesia coffeeshop.....tried there sour diesel and wow....probably one of the most exotic, pungent and, strongest highs ou will ever encounter. amazing.....

these beautiful girls are amazing, it is refreshing to just admire jah creation and dream of tasting the honey crystalz... when you score a few of these nuggets it makes the war a evil worth fighting... the tree of life and of knowledge of good and evil in this garden of eden... call it what you may i too love the sight and image of sour diesel, sativa/indica hybred.. i will not be greedy but,just enjoy the sweet smelling flowers that i have on this 420 weekend... keep the fire blazing, burn all hypocrites and parasites, let the aroma asend to the heavens to bless the lord of the harvest... peace and love, from; ren b.

Sour D
Where can one start looking for real quality Sour D genetics? Only one strain I like more than Sour D is Headband Kush. Its half OG KUSH and half SOUR D. its FIRE! I heard that it was created from chem dog and OG and Sour D are sister plants?
Headband
NA dude head band was developed by a grower in humbolt CA and was sold up north and started down south at a club called HC that later shut down. The original mother and best headband i have ever had which is deff, the best bud i have ever head is Sour D crossed with OG Kush then the sour og offspring is recrossed back with a Sour D plant creating headband but strains are so specific they are like single people and only one of the seads from the sourOG sourD recross was what became headband so there are a lot of headband immitators now that are just the same cross. Headband is also a sativa dominant hybrid that comes on hard and strong onthe body from the OG Kush then settles into a strong heady high from the sour OG taste like a mix of sour d and light og taste and smell but obvious Sour D influence light green pastel color with tight ball shaped nugs packed togeather like a dense sour D with light orange hairs but more sparse than in OG kush with more crystals like sour D.
