How To Send Me Mail

I want to thank everyone who has been sending me mail and books while I'm here at North Fraser Pretrial. Unfortunately, I'm still not getting a lot of my mail due to inappropriate content, missing return addresses, and other silly things like included illegal Post-It notes or staples.
Here is a brief podcast about how to send me mail properly and my shout-out of thank-yous to those who have been able to get through!

You must include a return address on all mail.
Any mail including the following items will be considered contraband by the guards who read the mail, and will be returned to you at your cost!
- Stickers, labels, tape & correction fluid(white-out), post it notes
- Anything glued on (including cards and glitter glue)
- Stamps, envelopes, writing paper, lottery tickets
- Polaroid photos, photo albums, revealing photos & inappropriate material ie. Marijuana leaf, logos
- Musical Cards
- Address books, calendars
- Hardcover books, magazines, newspapers, crossword puzzles, etc. (exception: NEW soft cover books ordered online from www.chapters.indigo.ca or directly couriered from publisher or photo copied.)
- Paperclips, staples, pins
- Feathers, dried flowers, etc.
- Jewelery
- Telephone calling cards, plastic cards, laminated items
- Pencils, pens, sharp objects
- Excessive perfume, lipstick etc.
- Scanned positive for an illegal substance
- Unknown Substance
- Unknown sender
- Unknown senders
- Court ordered No Contact

So all you need is a contact inside the Chapters online store and then have him send the specially prepared book with the LSD laden page...KIDDING.
How about a book
How about a book section/page so we know what you'd care to read or at least what has already been sent?
Books
Marc has received enough books for now, he can only have 6 at a time and when new books come in, he has to get rid of the ones he's reading. When he's in the US prison system, we'll have a book list/registry for him.

Damn, I took one of those postcards and filled it out to send to Marc....oh well, awesome thought though, Thanks for making the postcards up man, We'll keep Marc in Canada yet!
Unknown senders
If they don't allow unknown senders, how do they know who the sender really was? You could put any return name and address on a package. Do they have to contact that person to make sure he really sent it or do they just take their word for it that it wasn't really sent by "Akhmed"?

Any return address is acceptable. They don't check if it's genuine, but if the mail is refused it'll be mailed to the return address.

It might not need a name... not sure though. Safer to have it added rather than not.

Does he need phone cards for phone time? I understand not allowing the plastic, but if he needs phone time, would not buying a card and just giving him the card numbers in a letter be ok? Or will the screws not allow that either?
You don't need the actual card, just the numbers. Can Marc even make a toll free call to use a phone card?
Phone card
Marc and all inmates receive phone cards in their name, and they put time on it by using money from their personal account. The only way to get Marc phone card time is to drop off money at the jail in his name. (Inmates can also make collect calls with their phone card, which won't cost them money.)
