CANNABIS CULTURE - When a group of friends and growers from the East Coast of Canada decided to start a band devoted to marijuana, they did it with a simple goal in mind: advance a strong anti-prohibitionist message using the sweet sounds of rock, blues, and a touch of bluegrass. Indus Guys have accomplished that goal with their album Outstanding In Their Fields.

AIRY BUD
My plants are about 3 feet tall and have immaculate looking buds on them, but I have been unable to get large and dense buds even though all the hairs and stigmas are completely red when harvested. My 4?x8? system is lit by two 1000w HPS lamps on tracks. The room stays in the mid-70?s.

Commuter plants

My plants just started budding and I live in a place where it freezes at night in September. I have been bringing them in at night so frost won't damage them. Is this necessary? The buds are about a half-inch long this morning.

Ice water for plants

The garden's water source is drying up and won't last through July. The plants are in a field in the sun and it gets really hot here, over 100?F (38?C) every day during July and August. Can I place ice at the base of my plants or will the cold water have some effect on the roots or growth of the plant? It's easier to carry bags of ice than buckets of water.

Light through the seasons

Last year I planted some clones taken from my friend's large outdoor plants. I placed them in a part of the garden that gets unobstructed sun all spring and summer and they experienced explosive growth. Midway through autumn, as the sun's position changed, its light was blocked by a tree and the plants were in shade most of the day.

Marijuana can naturalize in Canada. It may take quite a few plants to find ones that will flower and develop mature seeds before they are killed by the cold weather.

Flowering an indoor-outdoor plant

I germinated a seed I found while cleaning. The plant is three months old, about a foot high (I pinched/dwarfed it) and bushy. It smells like very strong skunk. Each morning I set it outside and I bring it in each night. I didn't think the plant would get this far, but now I want to finish the job. The plant isn't flowering. What do I do to make it flower?

Plants sunburned

I have these two plants. They were doing well until today. I had them in a very bright indoor patio where they got direct sun all day long. Today was a warm day so I put them outside. When I went to bring them back in they were almost completely dead. It looked like someone bent the stems. What went wrong? How can I save them?

I'm planning to plant some seeds outdoors in the heart of continental Europe. Some friends of mine told me that I should germinate the seeds first before planting them outdoors. We have some wild plants growing nearby, and when the mornings were still freezing cold, I saw some seedlings already coming out of the ground.

Partial harvest

I have an eight-foot wonder that is alone; there are no males to pollinate her and the buds are coming in large and pungent-smelling.
She weathered a bad storm, which split her in half, and several branches broke from the weight of the buds. I repaired the damage using duct tape, which holds broken branches nicely. In spite of the accident she has thrived.

Northern Lights was one of the first varieties developed for indoor cultivation. To bud well indoors it requires moderate temperatures, a constant supply of food and bright lighting.

Flea beetles

I have seen extremely small insects, about 1/10 of an inch, crawling around on the soil of one of my indoor flowering plants. At first I thought they might be mites but they were nowhere to be found on the leaves. Furthermore, these insects hop when trying to pick them up. I first discovered the insects when I noticed a trail of ants going into the soil but I quickly sprinkled cinnamon to try and kill them.
