Candi attempted to turn herself over to the kops Tuesday but unclear language between the police and our lawyer caused us to reschedule her jailing for Thursday. She will only have to spend a few hours in jail. I hope Texas feels safer knowing Candi is in jail for a marijuana roach...ridiculous. I'm really mad about this.

Our home was raided by two narcotics units last Tuesday for a misdemeanor warrant of "False Report To a Peace Officer."

The raid was conducted felony-style and was led by the Williamson County Sheriff's Department. The raid was a direct consequence of our KopBusters sting last week where we caught a kop in Williamson County stealing drug money.

When I was a kop, assessing motorists to decide if I needed to detain them longer for a closer inspection, I always considered the following behaviors red flags.

Do not make any of the following moves and your chances of a
search and arrest will greatly decrease.

1. Never say you are in a hurry. Interdiction officers are trained to be suspicious of this.

2. Never say you are going to the hospital to visit a sick relative or friend unless you can prove it.

Yolanda Madden hugs her parents after being set free from prison.Yolanda Madden is a free woman and says she was falsely imprisoned for 4 years.

Madden was first arrested back in 2005 on drug charges.

Months later, in 2006, she was convicted.

In 2008 ex-drug officer Barry Cooper set-up Odessa Police to bring attention to Madden's case.

Then last in November, an evidentiary hearing was granted and on Friday, December 1, 2009 Federal Judge Rob Junell vacated her sentence.

New Hearing For Yolanda

There will be a hearing for Yolanda at the federal court house in Midland, Texas Friday, December 18, 2009.

The prosecutor must announce whether he is going to re-try the Yolanda Madden case or not. If he decides to re-try the case, Yolanda will be released on bond until her trial. If he decides against the re-trial, Yolanda will be released for good.

Either way, she gets out of the concrete cage Friday!
